Our colostrum is only collected during first-day milking. Colostrum collected during the first day after a calf is born has significantly higher levels of bioactive components, including immunoglobulins (IgG), immune and growth factors than subsequent days. Our proprietary processing maintains a high level of immune and growth factors, retaining the bioactivity and resulting in a highly efficacious product.
We offer both agglomeration and instantizing technologies for our colostrum powders to ensure consistent particle size and enhanced dispersibility. As a result, the colostrum powders are highly dispersible and flowable benefiting many downstream processing needs. This processing advantage enables customers to more easily use colostrum in applications such as sachets, capsules, tablets, cosmetics, drink mixes and other human consumption applications.
We standardized levels of IgG, protein and fat. This ensures consistency of quality, safety and potency. Standardization of other components of colostrum are also possible. Our raw colostrum testing protocol includes chemistry, specification of pathogens and general microbiology and other necessary testing to assure colostrum is collected from the first day only and is free from adulterants.
Each colostrum product batch is thoroughly analyzed prior to shipment to assure its quality, efficacy and safety. Analytical chemistry, microbiological and other necessary testing is performed using AOAC or other approved testing methods. We test and certify the immunoglobulin G (IgG) content of our colostrum powders using in-house High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) methods and analytical testing.
With recent expansions, our production capacity is three times larger than all our global competitors combined. From farm to factory, our integrated supply chain allows us to track each lot as it progresses through the manufacturing process. Two manufacturing facilities are in place to service our customers, one in Phoenix, Arizona and the other in Ripon, California.
To date, there are over 6,000 studies illuminating the science of colostrum, emerging scientific studies continue to explore the safest and most beneficial applications of colostrum for human and animal health, the industry is developing new applications and health benefits for colostrum . A 2019 independent scientific expert panel affirmed the safety of our bovine colostrum as Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS).
