Project C.U.R.E.

PanTheryx has partnered with Project C.U.R.E to fund a disaster relief container for Juchitán de Zaragoza, Mexico. This area experienced the worst devastation due to September earthquakes. This container is carrying our lead nutritional product and $900,000 in medical supplies. Dr. Gabriel O’Shea, former Comisionado Seguro Popular and Dr. Antonio Chemor, current Comisionado Seguro Popular, specifically asked Project CURE to direct their disaster relief container to this area. PanTheryx will visit this area to document the shipment and meet with doctors during the week of October 23rd.

Puerto Rico Community Recovery Fund

In the wake of the hurricanes Irma and Maria that hit Puerto Rico in 2017, PanTheryx donated product to assist those in need and continues to partner with the Puerto Rico Community Recovery Fund to assist with relief efforts in the region.

The notion of creating a Community Foundation of Puerto Rico began to take shape in a forum sponsored by the Puerto Rican National Coalition (NPRC), a nonprofit organization run by Puerto Ricans in the United States. The concept received great support from the Puerto Rican diaspora and from foundations in the United States.

Ford Foundation (Susan Berresford) Carnegie Corporation (Bernard Charles), Rockefeller Foundation (Bruce Williams), Charles Stewart Mott , and MacArthur Foundation supported the creation of a community-based organization that would Mobilize Local and international resources to channel them through donations to community and non-profit organizations.

The FCPR is the first foundation of its nature in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, and today the only one in Puerto Rico. It belongs to a network of over 1,900 around the world that exist. It has been awarded $ 58 million in donations, awards, scholarships, training and technical assistance in the areas of education, housing, economic development and communities.

Today, the FCPR is a philanthropic advisor and fund manager for individuals, families, nonprofit organizations and corporations in Puerto Rico and Internationally, to structure and channel donations, scholarships, awards and recognition to the community. On the other hand, the Foundation designs programs, projects and Initiatives from time to time, leading to the strengthening of community leadership. More recently, it has ventured into providing access to financing and equity mechanisms for community organizations.

Our work with PanTheryx is a phenomenal

example of how two mission based companies can amplify each other’s efforts in ways neither of us could have on our own. By leveraging each other’s expertise, we have been able to accomplish a lot. PanTheryx has been great to work with; we love the people there and their mission and we very much appreciate their partnership.”
