Mark A. Braman, President & CEO
Mark has more than 30 years of experience in the nutrition and life science industries. He brings strong leadership and extensive expertise in areas key to PanTheryx, Inc., including business start-up and growth through licensing, mergers and acquisitions, external partnering, raising venture capital, and preparing and staging IPOs, and successfully launching new products domestically and internationally. He serves as a Board Director for Hidden Villa Ranch, Inc., Wild Oats Marketing, LLC, and Efficas Medical Foods & Nutrition, LLC. Previously, Mr. Braman was president and CEO for Efficas, Inc., purchased in 2010 by Luberski Holdings, Inc, where he directed the start-up of the company and successfully licensed and developed medical food products. Senior executive leadership roles were held with Pfizer Inc., Cultor Food Science, Inc, Cultor LTD a $1.4BB company; and OmegaTech, Inc., which he successfully sold to Martek Biosciences in 2002. Mr. Braman completed both a BA and executive management studies at the University of Michigan.
George Stagnitti, Executive Vice President
George brings over 30 years of experience in nutritional and medical food products, with expertise in business and new product development, commercial partnerships, licensing, and mergers and acquisitions. As Vice President at Synthetic Genomics, Inc., he directed product, commercial, and partnership development for the Nutritional Products Group. He held executive positions with Stolle Milk Biologics, Inc. and Efficas, Inc., where his direction of product formulations resulted in the company’s first prescription medical food products. Mr. Stagnitti led the development of Martek Biosciences Corporation’s algal-based DHA Omega-3, who introduced DHA fortified products to consumer goods companies. He worked in technical and product capacities with OmegaTech, Inc, Danisco, Cultor Food Science, and Pfizer’s Food Science Group. Mr. Stagnitti has a BS in food science from the University of Maryland, an MS in chemistry from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and he has completed studies in technology management at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Jim Hau, Chief Financial Officer
Jim has over 25 years experience in Consumer Products businesses. Prior to joining PanTheryx, he was Chief Accounting Officer of The WhiteWave Foods Company. Mr. Hau began his WhiteWave career as Division Controller in 2005 under then parent company, Dean Foods. He was responsible for building out the initial financial infrastructure when Dean integrated three legacy businesses to create the new WhiteWave Foods Company. When Dean spun WhiteWave off through a 2012 IPO, Mr. Hau was named Chief Accounting Officer and charged with the build out of the new corporate infrastructure for a public company. During his years at WhiteWave, he played a key role in the integration of multiple acquisitions in Europe, Canada, and the U.S. He also played a key role in the company’s joint venture in China. Prior to WhiteWave, Mr. Hau worked at Unilever providing financial support to Operations and Marketing before later taking corporate finance and accounting roles and eventually becoming Controller for the North American Ice Cream business. Mr. Hau has a BS in Business Administration from Marquette University and a Masters of Management from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Business.
Scott Hyman, Esq., Senior Vice President & General Counsel
Scott has more than 20 years of legal and practical business experience in providing a full range of business law services to established and emerging growth companies. Prior to joining PanTheryx, Mr. Hyman was a Partner at the commercial boutique firm of Martin & Hyman, LLC., where he acted as outside general counsel to a broad spectrum of clients including a number of medical nutrition companies. Previously, he was a Partner at Hale Friesen, LLP; Lecturer at Law at the University of Denver College of Law; Founder, President and CEO at Derivative Works, Inc.; Executive Vice President and COO at Kitchen Sink Entertainment, Inc.; and a Partner at the law firm of Hyman, Levy & Hyman, PC. Mr. Hyman earned a BA in history from George Washington, and a JD from Villanova University School of Law.
Dr. Mark Grabowsky, Vice President, Public Initiatives
Dr. Mark Grabowsky is an expert on disease prevention and child health. Dr. Grabowsky brings over 25 years of experience at the forefront of many of the most difficult global health challenges including efforts to reduce measles and malaria deaths in developing countries and advance HIV-prevention strategies. As Chief Operating Officer, he most recently directed strategic partnerships to help finance the United Nations’ Millennium Development Goals. Prior to that, he led the coordination of federal agencies to implement the National Vaccine Plan for the Department of Health and Human Services. Dr. Grabowsky has also held senior level posts at the World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control, National Institute of Health, American Red Cross and the Canadian International Development Agency. Dr. Grabowsky holds a medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and a master’s in public health from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health.
Robert H. Driver, Vice President, Operations and Manufacturing
Rob has more than 30 years of extensive pharmaceutical and food industry experience with multi-national companies and start-ups, and he holds expertise in manufacturing, logistics, and quality management. Recently, Mr. Driver served as Vice President of Operations for Efficas, Inc., and Director of Business Development for Cultor Food Science, Inc., where he successfully managed the start-up of a new business venture focused on products for the pharmaceutical and flavor industries. Rob held executive and management positions at OmegaTech, Inc., and Pfizer, Inc. Mr. Driver earned an MS in microbiology from the University of Kentucky, and an MBA from Indiana State University.
Jessica Teilborg, Vice President, Marketing
Jess has been in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry for 15 years. She has spent most of her career building brands with one of the biggest advertisers in the world, Unilever, where she created innovative consumer communications, led product launches, and brand renovations for brands such as TreSemme and Bertolli, and was an instrumental player in the Gold Effie Award winning Hellmann’s campaign celebrated as being one of the first to create branded entertainment, as featured in the WSJ. Branded entertainment has since become one of the primary ways brands engage with consumers. After Unilever, Jess joined the pioneering, digital and consumer driven company Seventh Generation, ranked by Forbes as one of The Brands Young Americans Love Most, where she shaped the strategic thinking and repositioning behind one of their core categories. Most recently, she led the work for LoveTheWild named one of “5 natural product rebrands that rock” by Natural industry leader New Hope Network. Jess has strong marketing and brand strategy experience, connecting with consumers in new and meaningful ways. She enthusiastically embraces the pace of change in the world around us; excited by the business challenges and opportunities it creates, and has a proven track record of successfully building brands in highly competitive environments. Jess earned an BS in Economics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
Brian Budeselich, Vice President, Sales
Brian brings over 18 years of consumer package goods sales experience in all classes of trade and has worked with all major retail accounts in the United States. Prior to joining PanTheryx, Mr. Budeselich served as Senior Director of Sales at I-Health. Over an 8-year period at I-Health, he managed multiple business units including: Drug, Grocery, Mass, Military, Natural and E-Commerce. He helped lead and develop an internal consumer insight group to better understand consumer buying behavior and trends. Brian played a key role in building the Culturelle, Azo and Estroven brands, all three of which have grown to become the #1 selling brands in their respected categories. Prior to his time at I-Health, Brian worked for over 8 years at Novartis Consumer Health. During his time at Novartis he was promoted multiple times holding the following positions: Category Analyst, Category Management, National Account Manager, Regional Business Manager and becoming the youngest Director of Sales. Brian helped Novartis build brands such as: TheraFlu, Excedrin, Triaminic, Lamisil, Benefiber, as well as, Gerber Baby Food. He started his career working for Acosta Sales and Marketing, the largest national brokerage firm in the United States. Mr. Budeselich earned an BBA in Food Marketing from Western Michigan University.
Nagendra Rangavajla, Ph.D., FACN., Vice President, Research & Development
Dr. Nagendra Rangavajla has over 20 years of experience in Research and Development in the Nutrition Industry. Dr. Rangavajla has held R&D leadership roles in launching several differentiating products to drive significant value, growth and category leadership at Nestle, Mead Johnson and Abbott. He is passionate about, and championed, several corporate social responsibility initiatives in the nutrition arena, particularly in subsistence markets. Prior to his industry career, as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, Dr. Rangavajla contributed to scientific advances in the beneficial aspects of probiotics. He is an author of several peer reviewed publications and patents in the broad areas of Nutritional Science, Food Science & Technology, as well as, Product, Process and Package Development. Dr. Rangavajla earned his Ph.D. from Central Food Technological Research Center in India and MS from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bengaluru and B.Sc. from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India. He is a Professional Member of Institute of Food Technologists and an elected Fellow of the American College of Nutrition.
Amy M. Gibbs, Controller
Amy has diversified global experience with accounting for start-up and growth-stage companies, and for public companies with multiple foreign locations. She brings key expertise to PanTheryx, including SAP, finance management, SEC preparation and reporting, international consolidations and operations, and foreign entity structuring. Ms. Gibbs served as Director of Finance Integrations and Controller for DigitalGlobe, Inc., the leading provider of geospatial information, Finance Manager for Applied Films Corporation, and Senior Manager for KPMG, LLP. Ms. Gibbs has a BS in Business Administration with an accounting emphasis from St. Mary’s College in California.
